Wild Gardeners

“The Magic Garden” is an educational literacy programme run by the Victorian Education Department, under the direction of Heather Blakey. Full details of this wonderful project can be explored using the link. The full text of “The Magic Garden” story can be found there.

Themes of literacy, sustainability, community, global living, and working hand in hand with others co-operatively, all come together in this directional project to the benefit of many students. It covers many learning outcomes and teaches many skills.

Wild Gardeners and Technogardeners:

“Sustainability City” and “Imogen’s Garden” are part of “Wild Garden” , one of many WEB2.0 projects generated by Heather Blakey, designed to show educators and their students how good curriculum can be delivered and the outcomes published, using new technology such as blogs, writeboard, photo board and many other exciting applications.

“Imogen Crest” is the resident nature hermit who lives in magical Lemuria, which is the dreamchild of Heather Blakey who runs Soul Food Cafe. Monika Roleff was inspired by Heather’s creativity to explore themes of nature and solitude, and then came across Imogen as the ancient scribe in her daily life in Lemuria, fascinated by her as a “Muse”.

Monika Roleff is a qualified writer, advanced practitioner in Bush Flower Healing, nature photographer and consultant, with a corporate background in marketing and administration in various fields.
