This is a reminder that there is so much we can do to green our environments. The sun has finally reappeared and I have been out getting my hands dirty. It is healing to have dirty hands.

This is all so interesting - I intend to go to the beginning of your blog and read my way through it :).

I was encouraged I must say the other day, whilst on a long dreary bus-ride through London to see an 'estate' which had obviously been constructed in a totally ecocentric manner...their were green roofs aplenty, with solar panels strategically placed and those strange tube things on the top (not sure what they are - but will find out)....really made me feel hopeful - slowly, slowly we are moving in the right direction!

No probems, Rebecca! Now this sounds like a plan, a wall of grapes, ripe for the picking -- perfection indeed by your description -- thanks for sharing it!!

Thanks for this info, Moni! Lon, from The Grape Grower story I recently posted, told me of a fellow he knew who trellised grapes up the side of his house to the roof, to provide shade. He added he must have been able to climb like a monkey to reach all those grapes! Great image, sitting under the shade on a hot day eating your freshly picked grapes! Yummm.
